Sergey Filatov - artist, musician.

d.o.b. in 1977, lives and works in Moscow (Russia).

He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Association of Fine Arts – AIAP UNESCO. Resident of the Russian sound art community.
Got art education at the Kuban State University (Faculty Art and Graphics). Got technical education at the St. Petersburg Naval Institute (Faculty of Diesel Power Plants).

Practices working with spatial sound performances and installations, explores sound architecture. Filatov's sound sculptures consistently embody the principle of continuous variability characteristic of natural phenomena. Presented as a total sound installation, they reorganize sound in space embodying the idea of acoustic awareness.
Participant of the II Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow (2020), 58th Venice Biennale (as part of Tarek Atui's project in the 2019).
Winner in the category «Best Media Object» of the International Prize in Contemporary Art named after S. Kuryokhina (2017). Winner of the main award of the VII International Prize in Contemporary Art «Premio COMEL», Italy (2018). Finalist of the International Pow Solo Award for Sound Art, Spain (2020).
