The video installation is a projection, one of which shows men in a mosque, the other shows women in a mosque. Both projections together will create an integral image of the interweaving and interaction of the architectural monument and the people who preserve the mosque in its historical purpose.

The exquisite ornament, this endlessly repeating pattern, helps to create a unique image of the famous Sunni Mosque of Vladikavkaz. The interaction of people and the mosque, the interweaving of live life into the life of an architectural monument, creates a complex pattern, which, like the ornament, is endlessly repeated in time.

In 2019, when I took part in Alanica, I shot a video both in an empty mosque and during namaz. This material can be used as the basis for a video installation allegedly called "The Ornament".

However, there is very little footage of women in the mosque in the material. To create a solid "ornament" and to create a complete video installation, additional filming is required in the mosque; it is crucial to film women as they come to the mosque, often with children, as they communicate. Then on one projection there will be men in the mosque, on the other there will be women in the mosque, and together they will create an integral image.
